Mutsi

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Finnish producer and rapper crafts a deeply bizarre, highly localized homage to the classic, lo-fi aesthetics of 1990s Memphis rap. 'Mutsi' features incredibly lethargic, heavily synthesized trap beats and deeply pitch-shifted vocal samples, perfectly accompanying his fiercely sarcastic, wonderfully deadpan lyricism. The record is a remarkably humorous, profoundly atmospheric, and highly idiosyncratic underground hip-hop curio.
