Album Notes & Community Reviews

Heralding the first installment in a special various-artists series to celebrate the label's rebirth, 'States of Art I' is a stellar split EP released via Straight Up Breakbeat. The compilation features a star-studded lineup of modern jungle's finest, highlighted by Basic Rhythm & Tim Reaper's brutalist collaborative track 'Target Lock'. The release captures an uncompromised, highly kinetic, and rhythmic statement that bridges classic 90s heritage with futuristic sound design.
