Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded in Milan for the legendary Black Saint label, this quartet session captures the formidable pianist navigating intensely chaotic and spiritual free jazz. Accompanied by saxophonist Sam Rivers, the music frequently erupts into dissonant, high-energy improvisations characterized by Pullen's signature percussive, knuckle-rolling keyboard technique. It is a stunning, deeply physical display of avant-garde interaction.
