Album Notes & Community Reviews

Conceived as an evocative tribute to the fishermen and coastal culture of Bahia, this deeply poetic concept album pairs the revered songwriter's resonant vocals with sweeping orchestrations. The lush, cinematic arrangements elevate the traditional folkloric narratives into sophisticated, immensely powerful modern compositions. The record stands as a towering masterpiece of pre-bossa nova Brazilian popular music.
