Album Notes & Community Reviews

Newark rapper Dougie F, a member of DJ Sliink's Cartel Music crew, premiered the mixtape 'Block Party' through The FADER after breaking out with the Jersey club anthem 'Back Up On It'. Its tracks divide between the block of his childhood, in 'Wilson Place' and 'That Was Backthen', and his present ambitions in 'Diamonds Dancing' and 'Billions'. The tape filters Jersey club's bounce through Atlanta trap and West Coast funk.
