Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released with no prior announcement, this project was dubbed a 'commercial mixtape' and marked a darker, more aggressive turn in Drake's sound. Dominated by stark, heavy trap production, the album focuses on themes of paranoia, betrayal, and the burdens of fame, delivered with a more confrontational and boastful lyrical approach. Its surprise release strategy and distinct sonic shift were highly influential, setting a new trend for major album rollouts.
