Reunited with producer John Parish, the London quartet's sophomore effort expands upon the wiry, minimalist post-punk of their debut with warmer, more melodic instrumentation. The musical backdrop provides a spacious canvas for the vocalist's signature deadpan, stream-of-consciousness observations drawn from overheard conversations and everyday absurdities.
