Album Notes & Community Reviews

Emerging from Iowa, Dryad's debut full-length is a vicious, conceptually driven assault focused on deep-sea horrors and environmental collapse. 'The Abyssal Plain' fuses the frantic d-beat rhythms of crust punk with the freezing tremolo picking of black metal, punctuated by unexpected interludes of 1980s-inspired dungeon synth. The record projects a deeply hostile, claustrophobic atmosphere.
