Album Notes & Community Reviews
The Los Angeles-based quartet delivers a highly infectious, rhythmically propulsive debut album deeply indebted to 1990s experimental pop and vintage analog synthesizers. 'Mandatory Enjoyment' fuses the motorik beats of krautrock with hazy neo-psychedelia and bright, droning noise pop melodies. The project perfectly captures a nostalgic, retro-futuristic aesthetic while maintaining an incredibly playful, driving rock energy.
