...Majestic Thou in Ruin

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The obscure Wisconsin act delivered a remarkably pure, agonizingly slow masterclass of death-doom metal on their sole full-length release. Heavily featuring deeply sorrowful keyboard melodies and completely indecipherable, cavernous growls, the remarkably dense recording is frequently punctuated by dark acoustic passages and ominous field recordings. It stands as a highly sought-after, profoundly gloomy underground classic that heavily anticipated the emerging funeral doom subgenre.
