Album Notes & Community Reviews
Framed entirely around the romanticized, dust-blown mythology of the Doolin-Dalton outlaw gang, the Eagles' sophomore album is a masterful, highly cinematic Western concept record. 'Desperado' is beautifully melancholic and fiercely melodic, utilizing wonderfully lush country-rock arrangements to evoke a deeply atmospheric, highly evocative vision of 19th-century frontier crime and cowboy fatalism.
