Album Notes & Community Reviews

Dylan Carlson's pioneering drone metal project continued its exploration of agonizingly slow, incredibly heavy minimalist distortion. The record introduces a slightly more varied sonic palette, occasionally incorporating sparse percussion and cleaner, country-inflected guitar tones amidst the suffocating walls of feedback. It stands as a crucial transitional piece, hinting at the expansive Americana influences that would dominate the group's later career.
