Stuntman

by Edgar Froese

Stuntman cover art

Created during a brief hiatus from his work with Tangerine Dream, the synthesizer pioneer crafted this solo record heavily utilizing the newly acquired PPG synthesizers. The compositions represent a noticeable shift away from the sprawling, sequencer-heavy epics of his past, favoring shorter, highly melodic digital textures. It perfectly encapsulates the stylistic transition from analog kosmische musik into the cleaner, digital aesthetics of the 1980s.
