Born on D-Day, Froese's artistic journey began with painting and sculpture before he turned to music, forming Tangerine Dream in 1967. He steered the group through numerous stylistic phases, from avant-garde sound explorations to the sequencer-driven 'Berlin School' sound that defined albums like 'Phaedra'.
