Album Notes & Community Reviews
Heavily dominated by Dave Stewart's fuzz-drenched organ work, Egg's sophomore album is a remarkably dense, fiercely complex cornerstone of the Canterbury Scene. 'The Polite Force' is highly progressive and wonderfully abstract, weaving incredibly complex, wildly shifting time signatures with deeply surreal, surprisingly melodic avant-prog dissonance.
