Recorded after the departure of two founding members, the project shifted toward a notably more melodic, compositional approach. While retaining their signature use of custom-built, scrap-metal instrumentation, Blixa Bargeld's songwriting embraced clearer art-pop structures and prominent string arrangements. The transitional nature of the recordings reflects a maturation away from sheer abrasive noise into sophisticated post-industrial atmosphere.
