Trilogie de la mort

by Eliane Radigue

Trilogie de la mort cover art

Considered her magnum opus, 'Trilogie de la mort' is a three-hour electronic work for the ARP 2500 synthesizer, built upon slowly evolving drones and virtually imperceptible transformations. The composition is a profound sonic meditation on mortality, directly influenced by the Bardo Thödol (Tibetan Book of the Dead) and the composer's personal experiences with loss. Through its three distinct parts, the album translates the intermediate states between death and rebirth into a vast and immersive auditory landscape.
