Album Notes & Community Reviews

Featuring a reunion with his classic lyricist Bernie Taupin on several tracks, 'Jump Up!' represents a poignant stabilization in the songwriter's turbulent early-80s output. The record is notably defined by the emotionally resonant 'Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny)', a touching tribute to John Lennon. It successfully updated his traditional piano-driven sound for the contemporary pop landscape.
