Sir Elton John is a British singer, pianist, and composer who became one of the 20th century's biggest music icons. His enduring songwriting partnership with lyricist *Bernie Taupin* is one of the most successful in history. Known for his flamboyant showmanship and a unique blend of pop and rock, he achieved immense success in the 1970s with a streak of seven consecutive number-one albums in the US, including the landmark 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road'.
