Moving away from their earlier, harsher noise experiments, the Cleveland electronic trio embraces lush, melodic analog synthesis on this breakthrough record. The album features cascading, arpeggiated synthesizer loops and soaring, Frippertronics-style guitar textures, heavily drawing from 1970s Berlin School Kosmische music. The release successfully bridged the American noise underground with the burgeoning synthesizer revival of the late 2000s.
