Recorded during a period of significant health struggles—notably Carl Palmer's carpal tunnel syndrome and Keith Emerson's nerve issues—this album is largely considered the legendary progressive rock trio's weakest effort. Heavily dominated by slick, commercially oriented 1990s production and outside studio musicians, the record leans drastically away from their signature classical complexity towards straightforward adult-contemporary rock.
