Album Notes & Community Reviews

Rooted in extensive ethnographic research of traditional French folk music, Emmanuelle Parrenin's debut album completely transcends standard acoustic revivalism. 'Maison rose' masterfully intertwines archaic instruments like the hurdy-gurdy with deeply ethereal, highly progressive avant-folk structures, creating an incredibly soft, beautifully pastoral, and wonderfully psychedelic autumn soundscape.
