Album Notes & Community Reviews
Continuing their decades-long evolution from second-wave black metal pioneers to progressive metal titans, the Norwegian group delivers a sweeping, ambitious collection. The six lengthy tracks brilliantly fuse harsh vocal attacks and furious blast beats with expansive acoustic interludes and clean, choral harmonies. Lyrically, the record delves deeply into Norse mythology, cosmic philosophy, and ancient history.
