Album Notes & Community Reviews

Introducing new drummer and clean vocalist Iver Sandøy, the Norwegian veterans execute a masterful recalibration of their blackened progressive metal sound. Thematically centered on the chaotic, untamed realm of Norse mythology, the record balances their furious extreme metal origins with sweeping, 1970s-inspired krautrock and progressive rock detours. It reaffirmed their legacy as one of the most consistently innovative bands in modern metal.
