Album Notes & Community Reviews

Co-architect of the Brazilian Jovem Guarda movement alongside Roberto Carlos, the singer-songwriter delivers a highly enthusiastic, rough-around-the-edges debut. The album relies on rudimentary but infectious rock and roll arrangements, bringing the rebellious energy of the American surf and garage scenes to South American youth. It remains an endearingly frantic, foundational document of Brazilian beat music.
