Album Notes & Community Reviews

Struggling with a changing commercial landscape, the guitar legend reluctantly teamed with producer Phil Collins to thoroughly modernize his sound for the MTV era. 'Behind the Sun' pairs Clapton's signature blues playing with glossy drum machines, pronounced synthesizers, and polished radio hooks dictated by his record label. The deeply collaborative effort, particularly the hit single 'Forever Man,' successfully restored his mainstream visibility during a difficult personal period.
