Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following massive pop and adult-contemporary success, Eric Clapton returned strictly to his roots with this live-in-the-studio album consisting entirely of blues covers. Deliberately recorded with minimal overdubs, the project functions as a deeply passionate homage to his primary influences, including Muddy Waters and Elmore James, earning a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album.
