Stripping funk and dance-punk down to their absolute bare essentials, ESG's debut full-length relies on sparse, hypnotic basslines and incredibly rhythmic conga beats. The Scroggins sisters created a highly energetic, incredibly minimalistic sound that became heavily sampled in hip-hop and defined the raw, urban groove of the 80s New York underground.
