Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating as a massive, undeniably influential pioneer of the Houston hip-hop scene, E.S.G. heavily popularized the 'screwed and chopped' aesthetic on this essential sophomore release. 'Sailin' da South' utilizes exceptionally thick, heavily synthesized G-funk production to underscore gritty narratives of Texas street life and local car culture. The album remains a deeply revered, highly sought-after classic of independent Southern rap.
