Album Notes & Community Reviews
A deeply melancholic and beautiful album from the chamber rock ensemble, 'La Lechuza' serves as a tribute to their friend and collaborator, the late singer-songwriter Vic Chesnutt. The record features several guest musicians, including members of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Fugazi. Its compositions are poignant and elegiac, built around the core duo's cello and marimba and expanded with strings, percussion, and delicate textures.
