Album Notes & Community Reviews
'GUSTO' is a vibrant, meticulously produced homage to 1980s Japanese City Pop and Miami sound-machine aesthetics, delivered by the underground idol group Especia. The album is incredibly slick, utilizing prominent slap-bass, saxophone solos, and analog synthesizers to capture a heavily nostalgic, vaporwave-adjacent atmosphere. It successfully elevated the group beyond standard idol fare, earning them significant critical respect among independent music fans.
