Album Notes & Community Reviews

A towering achievement in unaccompanied saxophone recording, 'Six of One' captures Evan Parker pushing the absolute physical limitations of the soprano sax. Utilizing circular breathing and advanced multiphonics, the album creates dense, continuous sheets of sound. It purposefully blurs the lines between acoustic free improvisation and minimalist drone, remaining a revolutionary avant-garde text.
