Origin

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Widely considered the band's first full-length demo album, 'Origin' captures Evanescence in their formative, underground stage in Little Rock, Arkansas. The record blends alternative rock with heavy industrial and gothic rock programming, establishing the dramatic, ethereal vocal presence of Amy Lee against dark, moody electronic textures. It serves as a crucial blueprint for the polished gothic-metal sound that would later define their mainstream breakthrough.
