Biography
Evanescence is an American rock band formed in Little Rock, Arkansas, by singer-pianist Amy Lee and guitarist *Ben Moody*. Famed for their gothic, symphonic rock sound and Lee’s powerful, operatic vocals, they achieved global success with their 2003 debut album 'Fallen' on #Wind-up Records#. The album sold over 17 million copies and earned two Grammy Awards, propelled by the international hit singles "Bring Me to Life" and "My *Immortal*". Despite numerous lineup changes, with Lee as the sole constant member, the band has continued to evolve its sound across albums like 'The Open Door' and 'The Bitter Truth', blending heavy rock with classical influences and introspective lyrics.
