Album Notes & Community Reviews

Embracing a remarkably elegant, bossa nova-inflected sound, Everything but the Girl crafted a pristine masterpiece of early sophisti-pop. Tracey Thorn's incredibly warm, melancholic vocals drift over sparse, acoustic jazz-pop arrangements, exploring deeply romantic and bittersweet narratives. 'Eden' is a highly melodic, soothing, and wonderfully mellow indie-pop debut.
