Album Notes & Community Reviews
Broadcast on 3 July 1963, 'The Fight Game' follows professional boxers from gym to ring, with singers including Bob Davenport joining MacColl and Seeger across seventeen tracks. Parker's recordings of trainers, promoters and fighters' wives give the ballad the shape of a bout, building to the long title-fight sequence that closes the record.
