Album Notes & Community Reviews

Vratyas Vakyas's highly secretive solo project debuted with an incredibly sweeping, epic realization of Germanic pagan metal. Synthesizing the raw, atmospheric coldness of black metal with triumphant synthesizer melodies and heroic, chanted clean vocals, the record establishes a deeply mythological, medieval atmosphere. It remains a legendary, highly influential cornerstone in the early development of folk and viking metal subgenres.
