Album Notes & Community Reviews

Re-recording some of his earlier, highly successful Nigerian hits specifically for the international market, Fela Kuti delivered an incredibly tight, fiercely powerful afrobeat classic. 'Afrodisiac' is an intensely rhythmic, wildly energetic jazz-funk party, blending wonderfully passionate, heavily tribal percussion with deeply rebellious, fiercely political consciousness.
