Album Notes & Community Reviews

Ian Read's defining project following his departure from Death In June stands as an absolute cornerstone of the neofolk genre. Marrying traditional English acoustic instrumentation with deeply esoteric, pagan mysticism and post-industrial aesthetics, the album creates a profoundly solemn, archaic atmosphere rooted in forgotten European folklore.
