Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut album from the Swedish trio鈥攃omprising Mats Gustafsson, Johan Berthling, and Andreas Werliin鈥攕erves as an explosive introduction to their heavy, groove-oriented approach to free improvisation. Blending the visceral impact of rock with the unhinged exploration of avant-garde jazz, the session relies on slow-building, hypnotic vamps that erupt into chaotic saxophone squalls. It launched an enduring project that frequently collaborates with luminaries of the international experimental underground.
