Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed from the tragic ashes of the Minutemen, fIREHOSE debuted with a remarkably tight, highly energetic fusion of angular post-punk and funky alternative rock. Mike Watt's virtuosic, popping basslines drive incredibly complex, shifting time signatures beneath Ed Crawford's distinctive, slightly quirky vocal delivery. The album is a playful, rhythmically dazzling, and highly technical indie rock classic.
