Biography
fIREHOSE was an American alternative rock trio formed in San Pedro, California in 1986, pairing former *Minutemen* members Mike Watt on bass and George Hurley on drums with guitarist Ed Crawford. Their #SST Records# albums 'Ragin', Full-On', 'If'n' and 'fROMOHIO' fused punk, funk and free jazz, and they moved to #Columbia Records# for 'Flyin' the Flannel' and 'Mr. Machinery Operator' before splitting in 1994, with a brief reunion in 2012. The stylised name fIREHOSE is the band's own spelling.
