Album Notes & Community Reviews
Standing in stark opposition to the sprawling psychedelic jams dominating the San Francisco scene, the group delivered a blisteringly raw, back-to-basics rock and roll record. Fueled by Roy Loney's aggressive vocals and Cyril Jordan's frantic guitar work, the energetic, retro-obsessed blast served as a crucial missing link between 1950s rockabilly and 1970s proto-punk.
