Biography
San Francisco band formed in 1965 by Cyril Jordan and Roy Loney. Their early records mixed British Invasion pop with 1950s rock and roll, and 'Teenage Head' (1971) is now a proto-punk landmark. After Loney left, singer Chris Wilson steered the band toward power pop, yielding 'Shake Some Action' (1976) on #Sire Records#. The band split in 1991 and reformed in 2013, releasing 'Fantastic Plastic' in 2017 to strong reviews.
