Album Notes & Community Reviews

Representing a major stylistic departure, 'Mother Focus' sees the Dutch progressive rock titans largely abandoning sprawling classical suites in favor of concise, breezy jazz-funk and soft rock textures. The shift alienated elements of their core fanbase but showcased Jan Akkerman's fluid guitar work adapting to highly melodic, commercial-leaning grooves.
