Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded at their own studio in Port Jefferson, 'Boogie Motel' finds the veteran British boogie-rockers leaning slightly towards late-seventies pop-rock sensibilities. While the driving blues riffs remain intact, the production is significantly glossier, prominently featuring the radio-friendly hit 'Third Time Lucky (First Time I Was a Fool)'. The release reflects the band's effort to adapt their heavy touring sound for a shifting mainstream audience.
