Album Notes & Community Reviews
Attempting to navigate the rapidly changing rock landscape, the veteran British boogie-rock act Foghat severely altered their established sound for 'Tight Shoes'. The album embraces punchy, new wave-influenced production and shorter, power pop song structures, abandoning much of their heavy blues-rock swagger. The jarring stylistic shift failed to resonate with their massive 1970s audience, marking a steep commercial decline.
