Album Notes & Community Reviews

Norwegian folk-rock ensemble Folque explores traditional Scandinavian ballads and medieval tunes through a progressive rock lens on 'Vard酶ger'. The arrangements juxtapose ancient fiddle and flute melodies against driving electric guitars and rhythmic rock backbeats, anchored by Jenn Mortensen's commanding vocals. The release remains a premier landmark of the 1970s Nordic folk revival.
