Folque are a Norwegian folk rock band from Oslo, founded in 1973 out of the earlier group Br酶d & Vin. Often described as Norway's answer to *Steeleye Span*, they set traditional Norwegian ballads and dance tunes to electric folk rock using fiddle, banjo, mandolin and dulcimer. Active through albums including 'Folque', 'Kjempene p氓 Dovrefjell' and 'Vard酶ger' until 1984, they later reunited and were re-established in 2014 with original singer Lisa Helljesen.
