Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in Paris during a legendary exodus of American jazz musicians, the fiercely powerful tenor saxophonist delivered a blistering tribute to John Coltrane. Supported by a phenomenal rhythm section featuring Muhammad Ali on drums, the completely uninhibited, aggressive improvisations stretch the boundaries of spiritual free jazz. It is widely considered one of the most abrasive and passionately chaotic recordings in the historic BYG Actuel catalog.
